We are very excited that the RSC will be hosting the next community café ‘how do we play together’ on Friday 28th January 10- 11.30am
Following on from recent conversations we’ve had with local people and organisations, we’d like to explore if and how we can creatively aid working together to make Stratford-upon-Avon the best it can be. We want to enhance and bring together all of its many unique assets and see how we might creatively support each other’s shared aims, ambitions and ideas. You are invited to an exciting workshop to explore this further!
How Do We Play Together?
Come along to:
- Talk together about our work, your work, work you like and how you might work with other local people and organisations or how you already are.
- Find out a bit more about what creative placemaking is and how it’s been done elsewhere.
- Try out creative tools, games and manifestos that have been developed with and for communities.
- Explore and think about what we might like to do in Stratford-upon-Avon!
We don’t have all the answers, and we’d really like to hear from you.
After this event we will creatively collate all our thoughts, connections and ideas, to make a prototype of a tool or game (or similar) that could assist new conversations and collaborations in our community.
To get the event started, we invite you to bring along something that captures a piece of local work you or your organisation are proud of! This could be a leaflet, object, or photo.
We will be serving refreshments and bringing along a little visual treat from our recent work.
We include some exciting examples of Creative Placemaking here for those who would like to know a little more in advance.
If you have any initial thoughts or comments, or you would like to know more please get in touch. You can either contact Nicky or Tara from The RSC or Katy Hawkins, who will be facilitating this project as an independent practitioner along with Ellie Shipman.
What we would like to know from you in advance:
what is your favourite snack / refreshment?
In line with covid guidelines, we will be holding this event in the Runway, which will be ventilated, to provide maximum space and will cap the attendee numbers so that there is sufficient room. We will also ask attendees to stay in one place & RSC staff will rotate the activities to limit attendees moving around.
